More than 50 businesses and banks have made their home
in Downtown Edmond. The central location provides these service providers
with great visibility and accessibility with more than 50,000 people travelling
through downtown each day. A vast majority of the City of Edmond's 600 employees
work in the city offices downtown and the University of Central Oklahoma,
with more than 2,000 employees, is located just one block from the area.
In addition, the newly renovated Edmond Public Library, which is located
downtown, has the highest check-out rate in the state.
Downtown Edmond is very proud to have the new Festival Market Place in the
Downtown area. The Market Place is located on 1st Street. Farmers Market,
which is held at Festival Market Place is already a favorite of Edmond residence
and visitors.
