Before the restaurant boom, the total sales generated from eating and drinking places in Edmond was $56,608,064 in 1994. Since that time, the total sales has increased 52 percent, bringing the 2000 total sales generated from eating and drinking places to $85,850,919, according to the EEDA (eeda.com).
