Edmond’s unique downtown area is not just a project
or a place to shop occasionally. To Edmond residents, business owners
and developers, downtown Edmond is a passion.
With more than $32 million dollars in public/private investments over
the past 24 months, the downtown Edmond area is evolving not as a trendy,
new age attraction, but as a timeless and classic model of a vibrant residential
center of commerce that complements the entire city.
Investors have taken the original character of downtown, refined it and
instilled pride in it so that it now stands as a polished destination
place reflective of both the passion and work of Edmond residents and
the charming accolades from downtown visitors.
Downtown property owners were recently offered zero percent loans to be
used for exterior facade renovations and e-commerce Web sites through
new programs instilled by Economic Development, Inc., a private, not-for-profit
organization.
